Oh, this is wonderful! I love your Spike and Dru interaction in everything I've read so far; it's always just exactly how I think they would be and then some. *sniffle* And Drusilla's observation about the poppies is a thing of poetic beauty. They're such complicated creatures--capable of still feeling human twinges of sympathy and patriotism even though they themselves are the deadliest of weapons.
