Yeah, Snapchat eludes me as a platform for anything other than, say, group texts. Twitter is useful for pointers, news updates, or one-liners but a conversation seems difficult (though I hear its word limits are going to be expanded).

Haha, I don't know about the truism though. I keep having to use new platforms all the time but they've all got their pluses and minuses. The annoyance, I think, comes from not being able to combine all the good points. And also that the people you most want to be talking with may not use that platform!
