One of the wonderful things about The Mikado, is that it's so very lush and visual. I guess that lushness is partially because of its roots in the Victorian era, though you don't get anywhere near the same result in Pirates of Penzance or H.M.S. Pinafore. The combo of Japanese and Victorian aesthetics is a real winner.

Interesting point about supertitles. I think they do the same thing at our local company. Hmmmm.
