Tis the season ... Awards Season! Plus, pending naughtiness!

Yesterday, I was notified that I was nominated for a Fang Fetish Award! It's for my Sheila story Don't Say Anything. I'm amazed! I sorta thought that if I was to be nominated for anything, anywhere, it would be for one of my painstakingly researched Spike/Dru historical ficlets. But no, it's the little thing I banged out before hitting the road on Thanksgiving morning, with my family rattling the car keys, saying "C'mon! Hurry up!" Isn't that always the way? In any case, I am so excited, and thank you! whichever one of you did this! (Yes, I'm quoting Stephen Sondheim.)

In other news, I am putting the finishing touches on a post that will be so f-locked it'll make your head spin. Well, it's making my head spin enough for the both of us, anyways. It's not gonna be public, is the point I'm trying to make here. In order to experience the funny/filthy, you'll have to friend me. I am a hard task-mistress.

It's not for the fic I poured my heart and soul into, it's for the one I spit out in a hurry, or somesuch (I realize copy and paste is faster than typing it out but you get the idea).

Dude. I so know the feeling. It's never the story you spent ages on, it's always some thing you didn't even think about that gets all the attention. It must be good, though, and hey, flattery! And then bonus for the nom!

So basically? I'm all over here saying Congratulations and things.

I hope I can see this funny/filthy because I enjoy both of those subjects!

Thanks! The thing I've had the most feedback on (aside from my seasonal_spuffy entry, was a fantas_magoria drabble that just flowed out. I was in the zone, dude! Relatively painless, that one. The readers must sense the ease, or something. But the Sheila one didn't get a ton of feedback, 'cos, you know: Sheila who? So I was really surprised to get the nom!

I'm a total newbie, though (wonder how long I can use that excuse?) so every little post is preciousssssss. That anybody likes anything is always an incredible validation!

Oh yeah, you're definitely on the list for the filthfunny!

Yay, congrats on the nom! I know what you mean--my first and only nom was for my least favorite of everything I've put up so far (the Oz ficlet). Who can figure it?

I liked the Oz fic. And, hey, you're even more of a newbie than me, so to get nominated so quickly is fantastic by any measure. You've just got it, sistah!

Congratulations, lady! Good on yer! And I know whatcha mean about the unpredictability of these things; the only nomination I've ever received was for a batch of haiku that I almost scrapped b/c I was so unsure about them.

Thanks! It's always the quiet ones. Wait. Wrong platitude. I think of your spaiku as having the same issue that Buffy did with the Emmys: it's a cake, and it's a candy. Too hard to categorize. I despair of ever seeing the doll!fic properly recognized. Baby, you're outside the box. A rebel.
